Founded in the early 1980s, the winery cultivates 6 hectares of vineyards on the San Nicolao hill, just outside Nizza Monferrato. Bruno Ciocca, born in 1943 and founder, wisely and passionately manages the vines and wine production together with Luca Voglino, the oenologist, offering a range of native wines that enhance the qualities of the terroir on which the winery lies (white marl and sand). The average annual production is around 20,000 to 25,000 bottles, divided into four types of Barbera, the most important variety in the Asti and Nizza area, which include a Barbera d’Asti, a Barbera d’Asti Superiore from old vines, a Nizza, and a Nizza Riserva (the latter in Magnum format, reserved for members of the Wine Club). The range is completed by a sparkling version made according to the Classic Method from Cortese, sourced from a portion of vineyard over 60 years old. The company philosophy is based on sustainable agriculture in the service of a very careful supply chain, resulting in wines with a strong identity, aiming to capture in the glass the varietal and evolving notes in a harmonious blend of elegance, flavor, and longevity.
